Game 1 - May 6 @ Vauxhall - Dawgs win 5-3
Despite allowing three runs in the sixth inning, Dawgs 18U Black defeated Vauxhall Jets 5-3 on Saturday.
Ryan Morgan earned the win for Dawgs 18U Black. He pitched five and two-thirds innings, giving up three runs, six hits, and striking out three. Brendan Logan recorded the last four outs to earn the save.
Jacob Bouzide went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Dawgs 18U Black in hits.
Game 2 - May 6 @ Vauxhall - Jets win 2-1
Both teams were strong on the mound on Saturday, but Vauxhall came out on top - despite the Dawgs out-hitting Vauxhall Jets seven to three.
The Dawgs took an early lead in the first inning. With two outs in the first inning Jayden Wakeham drove in one run when he doubled.
In the bottom of the third inning, Vauxhall Jets tied things up at one. Vauxhall took the lead for good with one run in the fourth inning.
Will Undershute took the loss - pitching three and a third innings, allowing two runs, three hits, striking out one, and walking one.
Jayden Wakeham led Dawgs 18U Black with two hits in three at bats.
Game 3 - May 7 @ Okotoks - Dawgs win 5-1
The Dawgs jumped out to an early lead over Vauxhall Jets and took home a 5-1 victory on Sunday.
Graham Brunner earned the win - throwing a complete game while allowing one run, one hit, striking out five, and walking one.
The Dawgs collected seven hits in the game with Gavin Logan and Jacob Bouzide leading the way - each collected multiple hits.
Game 4 - May 7 @ Okotoks - Dawgs win 6-3
Game two on Sunday saw the Dawgs win by a score of 6-3 to win the 4 game series.
Tyler McWillie earned the win - pitching five innings, allowing two runs, four hits, and striking out three. Ben Tighe recorded the last six outs to earn the save.
Soren Graversen and Jayden Wakeham each drove in one run to lead the Dawgs offence.
