Dawgs 18U Black 3-peat in Mother's Day Classic

Game 1 vs Sherwood Park - Dawgs win 9-2

Dawgs 18U Black jumped out to an early lead over Sherwood Park and took home a 9-2 victory on Thursday.

Ben Tighe earned the win - He tossed four innings, surrendering two runs, three hits, and striking out five.

Greg Student, Mike Clapperton, Jacob Bouzide, Clayton Keyes, and Jayden Wakeham each drove in one run to lead the Dawgs.

 

Game 2 vs Edmonton Cardinals - Dawgs win 10-1

Dawgs 18U Black grabbed an early lead on its way to a 10-1 victory over Edmonton Cardinals on Friday.

Scott Waterman earned the win - pitching four innings, surrendering zero runs, four hits, striking out four, and walking one. LaRon Smith recorded the last three outs to earn the save.

Greg Student, Tristan Peters, and Gavin Logan all had two hits to lead the Dawgs.Dawgs 18U Black was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error.

 

Game 3 vs Victoria Eagles - Dawgs lose 6-3

Dawgs 18U Black had trouble keeping up with Victoria Eagles in a 6-3 loss on Friday.

Victoria Eagles took the lead for good with six runs in the third inning.

Shaun Atamanchuk took the loss - pitching five innings, allowing six runs, eight hits, striking out five, and walking one.
Tristan Peters led the Dawgs with two runs batted in - he went 1-for-4 on the day.

 

Game 4 vs Dawgs 16U - Dawgs win 11-4


Dawgs 18U Black jumped out to an early lead over Dawgs 16U and took home an 11-4 victory on Saturday.

Tanner Bercier earned the win - he tossed five innings, allowing four runs, six hits, and striking out one. Will Undershute started the game - he threw two innings, giving up zero runs, zero hits, and striking out three.

The Dawgs collected seven hits led by Jayden Wakeham and Tyler McWillie - each collected multiple hits. Jacob Bouzide and Jayden Wakeham each drove in three runs.

 

Game 5 vs Abbotsford Cardinals - Dawgs win 5-0

Dawgs 18U Black defeated Abbotsford Cardinals 5-0 on Sunday.

Graham Brunner earned the win - he tossed seven innings, giving up zero runs, three hits, striking out ten, and walking zero.

The Dawgs had ten hits in the game - Cesar Valero, Tyler McWillie, and Tristan Peters each collected multiple hits.


Championship Game vs St. Albert Cardinals - Dawgs win 13-0

Ryan Morgan didn't allow a single run as Dawgs 18U Black defeated St. Albert Cardinals 13-0 on Sunday.

Ryan Morgan earned the win - he pitched four innings, allowing zero runs, three hits, striking out four, and walking zero.

The Dawgs had 11 hits in the game. Greg Student, Mike Clapperton, Tyler McWillie, and Tristan Peters each collected multiple hits. Tristan Peters led the offensive onslaught with three runs batted in. He went 2-for-3 on the day.

 

Congratulations to the Dawgs 18U Black on winning the championship! Big day for our seniors and all the families in attendance!
